SEISS-3
Posted on

To remind businesses that are eligible for the first Self-employment Income Support (SEISS) grant, that they must make their claim by Monday 13 July.

Although HMRC did not advise a cut off point when the applications opened, the 13 July deadline as the final date for submitting claims was announced when the scheme was extended.

HMRC’s guidance states that you’re eligible to make a claim,’ If you're self-employed or a member of a partnership and have been adversely affected by coronavirus (COVID-19)’. Businesses cannot make a claim based on ‘an adverse effect you think may happen in the future’ – they must have been adversely affected on or before the cut off date. To make a claim for the second grant, they must have been adversely affected after that date.

For more information about SEISS, eligibility criteria and how to make a claim, visit the GOV.UK website.
