The government has issued guidance for eight workplace settings to help employers, employees and the self-employed to understand how to restart their businesses and work safely during the coronavirus pandemic.
The eight guides have been developed by the government in consultation with industry and address a range of work settings with guidance on issues such as social distancing, cleaning the workplace and workforce management.
It has been identified that businesses may need to use a number of these guides. An example of this would be a business that runs a restaurant and also offers a delivery service involving vehicles.
The workplace settings and the links to the appropriate guidance are:
- Construction and outdoor work
- Factories, plants and warehouses
- Labs and research facilities
- Offices and contact centres
- Other people’s homes
- Shops and branches
- Vehicles
