Life as a director can be busy, challenging and demanding! That’s why Torgersens and Burnetts’ expert teams are providing a briefing for both experienced and new company directors to better understand their roles and responsibilities.
Come along, enjoy a pastry and coffee/tea and learn all about the duties of a company director. This will also be an opportunity to network with like-minded business professionals.
The seminar will cover the main topics that fall within the scope of a directors’ responsibility, including general directors’ duties, business premises, and Equality Act issues.
Please note that the number of places is limited to 15, to provide a comfortable environment for discussion and questions.
The seminar will include:
- Directors’ duties: Peter Robinson, Corporate Partner at Burnetts: The main principles of directors’ duties including those imposed by the Companies Act 2006.
- Business premises: Rebecca Dawson, Commercial Property Partner at Burnetts: Key points on directors’ obligations relating to their buildings
- Equality Act: David Gibson, Head of Employment at Burnetts: Equality Act issues and considerations that should be on all directors’ agendas
- Tax: Martin Johnson, partner at Torgersens Chartered Accountants: An overview of a director’s legal responsibilities relating to tax, including reporting requirements regarding accounts (and confirmation statement)
